You’ve lived Israel
From the time of Moses,
Abraham and Joseph,
through the endless sands of time,
you were to be born,
and your chosen people chose to wander yet it seems,
through the cold of winter, through the heat of summer,
bringing you to thousand years of dreams.
From the day they started,
to the reservoir,
through the seven deadly plagues,
somehow stayed alive,
there was something to believe in,
in every heart and soul,
they watched homeland,
you could be their homeland,
just the way that heaven had foretold.
Israel they name you,
Israel they blame you,
hear our promised land
You’ve lived Israel,
shining, shining, bright and sunny.
Stand proud and sing out loud.
You’ve lived Israel.
From the time of Moses,
Abraham and Joseph,
through the endless sands of time,
you waited to be reborn.
In the cruel and burning desert,
you made a garden grow.
I see palm trees swaying,
and your children playing,
As it was promised long ago.
Israel they name you,
Israel they blame you,
hear our promised land.
You’ve lived Israel,
shining, bright and sunny.
Stand proud and sing out loud.
You’ve lived Israel.
Stand proud and sing out loud.
You’ve lived Israel.
